Before You Start
How to use this book — and why the order of the modules matters.
This is the same framework we teach inside TQE — condensed into a single reference you can come back to every time you sit down at your charts. It will not turn you into a profitable trader by itself. No book will. What it will do is give you one consistent way to read price, volume, and risk, so that every chart you look at gets analyzed the same way, every time.
Most new traders fail for the same reason: they trade a different strategy every week, chasing whatever just worked for someone else. They never build the repetitions needed to actually get good at one thing. This playbook exists to stop that cycle. Read it once end to end, then keep it next to your trading platform and use it as a checklist — not a novel you read once and shelve.
Everything in here is built around one idea: price only moves because of an imbalance between buyers and sellers, and volume is the clearest evidence of who is winning that fight at any given level. Once that clicks, charts stop looking like random noise and start looking like a record of decisions made by real participants — some of them a lot bigger than you or me. Our job is not to predict the future. It’s to find places where the odds are stacked in our favor, define our risk before we enter, and let probability play out over a large enough sample of trades.
You don’t need to know what happens next.
You need to know what you’ll do when it does.
Take your time with this. Highlight it, annotate it, argue with it on your own charts. See you inside.
