The Trade
Journal
Module One says start journaling before your first trade. This is the journal.
Most journals are a date, a ticker and a P/L column — which records what happened and tells you nothing you can act on. Every column in this one exists because a module asks for it, and the two that matter most are Followed plan? and Mistake tag.
What's inside
Read Me
How the workbook fits together and which cells you fill in.
Dashboard
Win rate, average win and loss in R, expectancy, breakeven win rate, profit factor, deepest drawdown, longest streaks — plus a native equity curve.
Trade Log
300 pre-formatted rows. Five typed inputs derive everything else.
Lists
The dropdown sources — setups, conviction tiers, mistake tags. Edit these and every dropdown follows.
Five inputs, everything else computed
You type entry, stop, target, size and exit. The workbook derives the rest:
- Dollar risk, from entry and stop
- P/L in dollars and in R
- Planned versus actual risk-to-reward
- Account risk %, which flags red above 2%
The loop this closes
The dashboard's headline three — win rate, average win in R, average loss in R — are exactly the inputs the expectancy and equity-curve tools take. Log thirty trades, read three numbers, paste them into Risk Management, and the drawdown on that chart is yours rather than a textbook's.
The same three feed the toolbox. Until you have logged real trades, every calculator on this site is running on numbers you guessed.
